Irina is a character from a future installment of AstroGirlX2. She's Ukrainian, living in Persia. More of Irina's background will be written when I start production on my AGX2 graphic novel.
In my early days of illustration, I was a big fan of solid blocks of color with no texture and no shading. If you compare this illustration of Irina with the more recent one here, you'll notice a major change (for the better) in my coloring and shading.
