She was inspired half by my love of retro science fiction illustrations, and half by the character of Aeryn Sun from the "Farscape" television series.
Nothing really new with my illustration technique. Although I do incorporate a transparency effect from Adobe Illustrator 9.0 for the first time in the ray gun blast. Not particularly "wow" though.
