I really like the way this illustration turned out. I finally using some different coloring techniques in this illustration, resulting in a more dimensional rendering. While Zoë was visually very flat, Gina, while she doesn't necessarily spring from the page, manages to have some depth.
The background was a challenge to create. I wanted to make a repeating tile of pipes to put inside the shape. After many unsuccessful attempts, I finally gave up trying to create a tile. Instead, I placed all the pipes in manually. It turned out pretty well.
