Anyway, I've been meaning to do an illustration of my favorite fembot for some time. After an intense all-nighter, I'm happy to bring to you my illustration of Arcee. She made her debut in the Transformers universe in the original 1986 animated film. The appearance of a female autobot short circuited the libidos of countless fanboys everywhere. (I was one of them.)
This illustration uses a lot more gradients than I've traditionally used in the past. I typically use blends (which are not the same as gradients, thank you very large). I didn't use black outlines to separate patches of color as I've done with previous illustrations, nor did I use darker shades of color to separate elements. This gave Arcee a much more animated look and I really like how it turned out!
